NEW LECTURE

October 7, 2025
16:30 GMT (Dutch time: 18:30)

Are you interested in learning about how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to extract pictures, bibliographic references, artwork provenance data, and iconographic details from outdated, unstructured, and unattractive PDFs?

Watch this presentation on a case study illustrating the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) to transform scanned art catalogues into structured digital resources.

The Plant will work in collaboration with the University of Iceland to set up an educational livestream on YouTube. The Plant’s Research Software Engineer will give a lecture as part of a new series by the Centre for Digital Humanities and Arts (University of Iceland) called ‘Digital Humanities After Hours’.
