One of the core ambitions/missions of The Plant is to facilitate knowledge transfer in the context of teaching. The noun ‘plant’ comes from the Latin word planta, which can be translated as ‘a sprout’ or ‘a shoot’. It is the first sign of a sprouting plant and it stands as a symbol for growth. Our idea behind The Plant is also that it should symbolize growth in learning. The education and training activities of consist of regular teaching (e.g. a tutorial group for the duration of a course, a tutorial group for a series of sessions, or a special group session), digital methods workshops, inclusing seasonal summer and winter schools, and special training sessions (Train the Trainer).
