We’ll walk you through where to find free 3D models, how to tell which models will be most likely to succeed, different software options for designing your own model, basic modelling in TinkerCAD, preparing a model for printing, different slicing software, slicing using Craftware Pro, and uploading a print. We’ll do a brief bit on post-processing (ie: cleaning a print) and all participants will get to take home a small pre-printed item.

Participants will NOT get to print their own models. However, taking this training means that you are able to use the 3D printer for course-related or research-related projects in the future, subject to available printing times (occasional Fridays when the room is not otherwise in use) @ The Plant.
